Since opening in 2017, The Bunkhouse has provided a unique platform for local emerging artists, celebrated performers, and major touring acts alike, cementing its place as a cornerstone of South Wales’ music scene.

Founded by a collective of music enthusiasts with a shared vision, The Bunkhouse was created to be more than just a venue; it was established as a space where artists could find a home, develop their craft, and be supported by a dedicated community. In just a few years, we’ve grown from an ambitious start-up into an award-winning and celebrated venue, known for consistently punching above its weight and creating unforgettable experiences for both performers and audiences.

In 2024, The Bunkhouse’s future was secured when it became the first Welsh venue acquired under the Music Venue Trust’s #OwnOurVenues initiative. Now placed under permanent protected cultural status, The Bunkhouse will continue to serve as a creative hub for generations to come, thanks to the support of our community.
